- Abstract
- A moderately large collection of compositions and arrangements by the noted Russian-American orchestra leader, accordionist and composer, Basil Fomeen (Vasily Fomin). Fomeen is remembered as the second person to record Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue (1928, Victor Records). The collection contains many of his original compositions and arrangements made for the Basil Fomeen Orchestra, which played hotel and club engagements in New York City and made recordings for Decca.
