This collection documents the creative life of the American composer David Diamond (1915-2006). It contains manuscripts for nearly all of Diamond's compositions, an enormous amount of correspondence to important musical and literary persons, and daybooks and other autobiographical materials.
Several thousand manuscript sketches, scores, parts and published versions of Diamond's compositions; 10 shipping boxes of correspondence arranged by date; 20 shipping boxes of business papers; several hundred journals, diaries, and datebooks.
