- Abstract
- A large collection of music manuscript compositions and arrangements by the well-known American composer Ferde Grofé (1892-1972). He is best known for his Grand Canyon Suite and for his orchestration of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. The collection contains many arrangements made for Paul Whiteman and for Grofé's own radio orchestra. Works for symphonic orchestra are also well represented in the collection.
