Book Jacket of Trimble's Book: Arizona 2000 |
Marshall Trimble: State Historian
Often referred
to as "the Will Rogers of Arizona", this writer, convention
speaker, teacher, and folk singer is one of the state's most
popular and colorful personalities. Marshall Trimble grew up in the
small town of Ash Fork, Arizona, a small cattle-shipping and
railroad community on the Santa Fe mainline, and believes his
small-town roots are responsible for the homespun humor of his
stories and books. He has taught college level courses on Arizona
and Western history for twenty-five years. An avid outdoorsman,
Trimble has seen most of Arizona's spectacular country from the
back of a horse.
Considered the dean of Arizona historians, Trimble is the author
of more than a dozen books, and his stories and cowboy poems have
appeared in such magazines as
Arizona Highways,
Western Horseman, and
The American Cowboy. The
project documents his career with biographical text and a copy of
his most recent book, Arizona 2000: a Yearbook for the
Millennium.
