The Connecticut Puerto Rican State Parade
This celebration of the culture of Puerto Rican
residents of Connecticut takes place in various cities and
communities throughout the state. The parade is preceded by beauty
pageants, cultural presentations, flag-raisings, a banquet, and
visits from Puerto Rican government officials, and is followed by a
large festival. The 36-year-old June event draws over 100,000
visitors annually.
