Cancellation stamp of 30th Salmon Days Festival |
Issaquah Salmon Days Festival (30th Anniversary)
Held in early October each year, this Issaquah
Chamber of Commerce event is scheduled to coincide with the arrival
of Pacific salmon in Issaquah Creek, the destination point of their
40-mile migration from Puget Sound. Before the festival began 30
years ago, the spectacle of the arduous upstream journey drew many
visitors to the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery. Today more than 200,000
people attend the event. Project documentation includes the
"ohfishal" cancellation stamp of the 30th Anniversary Issaquah
Salmon Days Festival, souvenir lapel pins, press releases, official
programs, Chamber of Commerce newsletters, a poster, and news
coverage.
