We hit the beach on North Africa with the first invasion forces of Operation Torch.
November 8, 1942
Dogs were not allowed so our Squadron adopted a couple of these little fellows as pets. This burro was called "Ed" and he loved to chew cigarettes.
My buddie Mitch was a cameraman for the 94th, taking care of the gun cameras as well as taking candid shots of everyone and everything.
Winter in the desert at Youks-les-Bains, Algeria with all the underground comforts of home! I am standing beside my Buddie Michner in front of our foxhole.
