the prettiest in the world & the best mannered and dressed. When it comes right down to cold facts there are no women in Eng. or France who can compare with you. Of course I'm terrifically predjudiced [sic] as there isn't anyone in the whole world who can even hold a candle to my {prettly} pretty, sweet wife. I guess that is why I love you so much.

As to living conditions over here. Frankly they are pretty rough but not too bad. Could be worse. Don't worry about any danger as we are as far behind the lines now as when I was in Eng.
