My Dear Mother,

I have been looking for a letter from you ever since I got your card

I am always pleased to hear from home, and will always try to write even if you don’t write so often. I am getting a letter a day from some place or another, and try to answer as soon as I get one. Ted wrote me today. Jack Delaney Charlie Farley he says he is coming to see me to-morrow if he can get in. I am still in quarantine and will be until Monday.

Then we will be allowed to go around the grounds without a pass. We arenot allowed to go out of the building unless under a corporal or Sargent. We have to walk about a mile and a half to dinner and a mile and 1/2 back so that is 4 miles each day for meals and about 10 more around the parade ground in drill.

They feed us good plain and plenty
