My Dear Mother;

Sunday after church

Your dear letter arrived yesterday and it sure did bring a bright ray of sunshine. I know you do not write much, so I will not scold you.

I am glad you are well and enjoying good health. I am feeling fine only a little lonesome for the dear ones at home.

I am going to try very hard to get a pass for two weeks from to-day. That is a long time away but, it is the best I can do. I acn get a ten hour pass, but what is the use of going out just to walk around.

I have not been outside of the port yet almost five weeks how the time flyes when you look back and how far away when you look ahead. but all will be well someday, and everything will run smooth again.
