Unit I: Lesson Three

President of the United States

Who was President of the United States during the decade 1910-1919? Students can find the answer and much more information about presidents by using POTUS. Have students check this site to learn what the president had to say about the Great War, 1914-1919.

Students can also learn more about the presidents by following these directions in the American Memory collections:
  1. Go to the Learning Page and select "Getting Started."
  2. Click on the Pathfinder for "People."
  3. Scroll down the alphabetical list to the letter "P" and click on "Presidents" or on an individual president's name. This will bring you to a page that lists collections containing information about the presidents.

Students can learn more about World War I from Brigham Young University's World War I Archive.
