<p>Lincoln, Grant and Lee; or, The War Is Over Many Years.</p>

<p>At Gettysburg and Chickamauga, where grim war once held full sway, <lb>
Wave the fields of corn and cotton, showing we are one today; <lb>
Bitterness of North and Southland shall not, can not, will not, last: <lb>
Desolation, want and mis&apos;ry, all are buried in the past.</p>

<p>Chorus: <lb>
The war is over many years, a reunited nation we, <lb>
Future history will mention three names--Lincoln, Grant and Lee. <lb>
The war is over many years, a reunited nation we, <lb>
Future history will mention three names&mdash; Lincoln, Grant and Lee.</p>

<p>Marching on to greater glory, vet&apos;rans of the yesterday, <lb>
Arms entwined around each other, heroes of the Blue and Gray; <lb>
Guns are silent, plough and shovel till the stalks of ripening grain, <lb>
Differences all forgotten, reunited once again.</p>
