<p>Our Nation&apos;s Captain</p>

<p>We bless the noble Captain, <lb>
Who steered our ship aright! <lb>
We bless our brave commander, <lb>
Who took her through the fight. <lb>
When storms did rage around her, <lb>
And wreck was near at hand, <lb>
This noble hearted patriot, <lb>
Stood firm to take command.</p>

<p>Chorus: <lb>
All honor to the Captain, <lb>
Who steers our ship aright! <lb>
All honor to the Soldiers, <lb>
Who neath our banner fight!</p>

<p>What ho there! calls the Captain <lb>
Is no one near to save? <lb>
Yes, shout a million voices, <lb>
Of freemen true and brave; <lb>
Then in the glorious New Year, <lb>
Our leader spoke again; <lb>
Laid low the proud oppressor, <lb>
And broke the captives chain.</p>

<p>Come rally round the standard, <lb>
And for your country fight; <lb>
Now rally noble heroes! <lb>
And battle for the right; <lb>
The men come thick around him, <lb>
And forth to battle go; <lb>
The nation reigns triumphant, <lb>
O&apos;er her rebellious foe.</p>
