<p>(Don&apos;t Be Ashamed of) The Name of Abraham</p>

<p>One day I heard a dad <lb>
Say to his little lad, <lb>
You ask me why we named you Abraham. <lb>
You say you&apos;re ridiculed <lb>
By all the boys in school, <lb>
And now you want to change it if you can. <lb>
But son before you do, <lb>
I want to say to you.</p>

<p>Chorus: <lb>
Don&apos;t be ashamed of the name of Abraham, <lb>
And when they call you Abie don&apos;t you mind, <lb>
There was a man named Abraham, not many years ago, <lb>
A better man than him you&apos;ll never find, <lb>
We didn&apos;t have the power <lb>
To make you look the same, <lb>
The best we could do was to give you his name, <lb>
So if you&apos;re half the man that Lincoln was, <lb>
You&apos;ll be proud of the name of Abraham.</p>

<p>Just read your history, <lb>
And son you&apos;re bound to see, <lb>
A lot of names as humble as your own, <lb>
Which proves it&apos;s not the same <lb>
Some humble men became, <lb>
The greatest that the world has ever known. <lb>
Your name don&apos;t pull you through, <lb>
It&apos;s simply what you do.</p>
