<p>And the defendant Joseph L Shaw wells Andrews, Lymon Porter Thomas P Rogers &amp; William S Mars, by Briggs &amp; Prettyman their attorneys, come and defend the force and injury, when and say that they are not guilty of said supposed, trespasses and e? ment above laid to their charge and not guilty of unlawfully withholding the premises claimed by the plaintiff and alleged in said declaration or of any part thereof in manner and form, as the said John H Harris, pltff, hath above thereof complained against them; and of this they the said Joseph L Shaw, Wells Andres, Lymon Porter, Thomas P Rogers &amp; William Mars, put themselves upon the county <lb>
Briggs &amp; Prettyman</p>
