VS. <lb>
Moses Loe</p>

<p>This day came the defendant, and also the People by their attorney; and, on affidavit and motion of the defendant, it is ordered by the court that this cause be continued to the next term of the court&mdash; It is also ordered by the court to the county of Sangamon, and delivered to the Sheriff of said Sangamon county to be by him safely kept in the jail of said county, and returned and delivered to the sheriff of this county on the first day of the next term of this court&mdash;</p>

Amos Wilson &amp; John Weedman</p>

<p>On this day comes the plaintiff by his attorney and makes motion to supply loss of summons by the affidavit of the sheriff  and clerk of this court which said motion was allowed by the court, and the court having taken the affidavits of the said sheriff and clerk ordered that the same stand in place of summons which said affidavit were of evidence to the court that process had been issued and duly served on Amos Wilson at least ten days previous to the present term of this court and the defendant Amos Wilson being three times solemnly called came not but made default. It is therefore considered by the court that the plaintiff recover of the said defendant the sum of</p>
