Before the assemblage of the Political Equality Club at the Y. M. C. A. Hall on Monday evening, Chas. N. Hemiup conducted the class in Civics, in a review of some previous lessons on the City Government of Geneva. Those who were privileged to hear the review were impressed with the comprehensive treatment of intricate subjects; and it is evident that the ladies are learning what they most of them fully appreciate. --The Political Equality Club met at the home of Mrs. Clapp yesterday afternoon, and listened to an admirable paper prepared by Miss Root, corresponding secretary. We understand that the membership is now about ninety, increasing with scarcely any effort. --The meeting of the Political Equality Club held at the Y. M. C. A. Hall last night was well attended. We have not room this morning for an extended report. There are now about eighty members of the club. An election of officers will soon be held. --To the members of the Political Equality Club, who have faith in the efficacy of, or in the good luck associated with the number 7, it will be a matter of congratulation that in the ballot for nominating a president for the club, which was taken last evening, 7 candidates were voted for, and the total number of votes cast was 49--7 times 7, The programme committee of the Geneva Political Equality Club, will make some interesting announcements at the next meeting. Monday, February 21 at 8 o'clock in the assembly hall of the Y. M. C. A. It is hoped that every one of the 88 members will be present, as educational classes are to be formed.
