Correspondence dating from August 1925 on the impact of installment buying of automobiles on other industries and businesses, as well as on the Federal Reserve and other banks around the country. Governor D. R. Crissinger of the Federal Reserve Board states that "People will have an automobile and sacrifice paying their doctor bill, their grocery bill and clothing bill or will go without all of them rather than to give up an automobile."
