Collection Overview
- Description
- Glass negatives and transparencies (together with about 300 colored
photomechanical prints and about 300 cyanotype and albumen prints); the
work of a number of photographers including the well known photographer
William Henry Jackson, a co-founder of the company. Most images depict
scenes in the United States (chiefly east of the Mississippi); together
with some photographs of other nations in the Americas, Europe, and
copies of paintings. Prominent subjects include buildings and views in
towns and cities, colleges and universities, battleships and yachts,
resorts, natural landmarks, and industry.
