Journals of the Continental Congress --TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 1781
On reading a letter from the secretary of foreign affairs:
Resolved, That the superintendent of finance be, and hereby is authorised and directed to take under his care and management all loans or other moneys obtained in Europe or elsewhere for the use of the United States, subject to the appropriation of Congress.
Congress being informed of the arrival of General Washington in this city:
Ordered, That he have an audience in Congress to morrow at one o'clock.
