Two states attended namely Massachusetts and South Carolina and from New hampshire Mr [Nicholas] Gilman from Connecticut Mr [Benjamin] Huntington from Pensylvania Mr [William] Irvine from Maryland Mr [Benjamin] Contee from Virginia Mr [Cyrus] Griffin and from North Carolina Mr [Hugh] Williamson.
From the day above mentioned to the first of Novr. there appear attended occasionally from New hampshire Mr [Nicholas] Gilman,
from Massachusetts Mr [Samuel Allyne] Otis and Mr [George] Thatcher
from Rhode island Mr [Peleg] Arnold
from Connecticut Mr [Benjamin] Huntington and Mr [Pierpont] Edwards

from Pensylvania Mr [William] Irvine
from Maryland Mr [Benjamin] Contee
from Virginia Mr [Cyrus] Griffin

Also according to indorsement the following letters were received after the session of Congress in 1788:
Letter of John Jay to President of Congress, October 10, 1788, transmitting letter of Mr. Dumas of June 10, 1788. Papers of the Continental Congress, No. 80, III, p. 593. According to indorsement the enclosed papers were returned to the Office for Foreign Affairs on April 29, 1789.
Letter of John Jay to the President of Congress, October 15, 1788, transmitting letters of Mr. Jefferson of July 29, August 3, 10 and 11, 1788. Papers of the Continental Congress, No. 80, III, p. 597. Jefferson's letters are in Papers of the Continental Congress, No. 87, II, pp. 179, 183--190, 203--204, and 207--209, respectively, with enclosures of the letter of August 3 on pp. 191--202.
