Starring Clifton Webb, among others, and a chorus of 14 Little Show Girls. Clifton Webb's "Moanin' Low" number (Act II Scene 11) in The Little Show" proclaimed Clifton Webb as one of the hottest dancers since Earl "Snake Hips" Tucker. His dance number was choreographed by African American dance director Clarence "Buddy" Bradley (even though credit for conceiving and arranging the choreography went to Webb). Inspired by music of the day, Bradley ignored the melody and translated improvising accents of jazz soloists into dance patterns that were new to Broadway.
