Irving Berlin gave Bert Williams his wry Prohibition protest, "You Cannot Make Your Shimmy Shake On Tea." In the first act finale, "The Follies Minstrels" Williams and Eddie Cantor combined to sing another Berlin number, "I Want To See A Minstrel Show" and "Mandy" as part of the same scene was popularized. Ray Dooley impersonated Mandy while Marilyn Miller appeared as George Primrose. The Ziegfeld Follies of 1919 (revue) produced by Florenz Ziegfeld at New Amsterdam Theatre, New York with stage direction by Ned Wayburn who choreographs a tandem dance (mirror and shadowing) for the Fairbanks Twins (Madeleine and Marion Farbanks) in which they were Salt and Pepper in the "Follies Salad" scene; the number had tap work in it, so that, in addition to reflecting each other's movements, the dancers had to achieve absolute precision in the timing of their steps.
