On the evening of the premiere of this performance (May 15, 1975), DeMille suffered a serious cerebral hemorrhage that made her partially paralyzed on the right side of her body. There was a second staging of this performance on November 9, 1977, which was filmed. The date of the PBS-TV broadcast is listed as 1980.
