<mods:abstract>Musical revue featuring Cab Calloway and his Cotton Club Orchestra a fine example of jazz swing dancing in the late thirties and includes a six-girl tap routine (dancers unidentified and credited) in unison precision and swinging; Calloway singing "St. James Infirmary" while dancing eccentric legomania and improvising moves that visualize the growls, moans, whinnies of the horn section of the orchestra; and the class act jazz tap routine of Miller Brothers and Lois: rare and astonishingly chic, the trio begins with a swinging up-tempo number; they are in tuxedos and top hats; she is in short dress that shows her beautiful shapely legs; great trench steps and precisely stepped; the second part of the routine is a trip dance on six pedestals, each one shaped in the letter of the act's name: M I L L E R. FANTASTIC routine that quintessential example of class act dancing in the late thirties. Jeni LeGon appears as a featured actress in the film and does not tap dance.</mods:abstract>
