Special events include "An Evening with Dr. Jeni LeGon" at the Museum of Contemporary Art; "Rhythm Asia," the North American debut of the Boxmen, Japanese percussive artists who combine traditional Japanese Taiko drumming with American tap; "African American Women in Tap Dance" a discussion with Jeni LeGon, Dianne "Lady Di" Walker, Muriel Forster, Doris Humphries, and Idella Reed-Davis, Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards, Derick Grant, Jimmy Payne, Jr., Julie Cartier, and Lynn Dally.
