Features a training program with tap dance workshops and master classes in local studios, a week of performances at the new Duke on 42nd Street, an innovative youth program, panel discussions, film screenings, and tap jams throughout Manhattan. 2002 International Tap Dance Hall of Fame inductees: Dr. Jeni LeGon, Nicholas Brothers (Dr. Fayard Nicholas and the late Harold Nicholas), Fred Astaire, Steve Condos, Baby Laurence, John W. Bubbles, Eleanor Powell, Bill "Bojangles" Robinson. 2002 Tap Preservation Award: Sali Ann Kriegsman. 2002 Hoofer Awards: James "Buster" Brown, Dr. Jimmy Slyde. 2002 Toe Knee Award: Anonymous Angel.
