Jeni LeGon on Amos 'n' Andy TV LeGon, Jeni performer Television/Video 1951-06-28 LeGon plays the role of Daphne Jackson, the Kingfish's secretary on CBS-TV's Amos 'n' Andy Show telecast from June 28, 1951 to June 11, 1953. LeGon was "still a child when she won a tap dancing contest on a visit to Savannah, GA. When she returned home to her home in Chicago her goals had switched from the gymnasium to the theatrical boards. At the time off this televised comedy, LeGon was operating her own Academy of Arts in Los Angeles where she was teaching dancing, acting, and personality singing.
