In the film version of A Chorus Line, it's very hard to make an argument that there is any tap dance, but many of the scenes (backup soft-shoe dance to "What I Did for Love") have tap moves in them; at least in the film.

"Tap Is Not My Strongest Point" one dancers says in this scene while moving through a soft-shoe. And so it is with chorus line: no tap but all the choral moves derive from musical theatre tap dancing.
