- A musical in one act, 20 scenes. Book by Luther Davis, based on the novel of the same name by Vicki Baum, by arrangement with Turner Entertainment Co., owner of the MGM film. Music and Lyrics by Robert Wright and George Forrest. Additional Music by Maury Yeston. Directed and choreographed by Tommy Tune. Opened 12 November 1989 at the Martin Beck Theatre, moved 3 February to the Gershwin Theatre and closed 19 April 1992 after 1018 performances.
