<mods:abstract>A conference co-produced by the Society of Dance History Scholars (SDHS) and Congress on Research in Dance (CORD) featured a special lecture demonstration titled Re-Percussions, in which dancers Brenda Bufalino, Deborah Mitchell, Fred Strickler, Ann Kilkelly, and Cartier Williams performed.

"To date, there has been virtually no acknowledgment, or recognition of, no serious discussion or critical analysis of tap choreography/jazz tap choreography and practice," spoke Constance Valis Hill, who hosted the panel. "Which is why I am happy to present the following dancers who will speak on the art of tap composition."

At the conference, Tony Barrand and Kari Smith also presented a paper on The Dancing Marleys.</mods:abstract>
