Temple was four years old when she first appeared on the screen and six when Fox signed her to a contract, starring in her first in "Stand Up and Cheer" (1934) with James Dunn playing her song-and-dance father. Together they did "Baby Take a Bow" a well-calculated title that Fox used later that year for its first film with her name at the top of the cast.
