Savion Glover Receives Bill Robinson's Tap Shoes by Copasetics Glover, Savion performer Social Event 2000-11-19 In conjunction with The Copasetics Savion will appear at Showman's for a very special evening. Savion will be presented the tap shoes that the late "Great Bill Robinson" wore the last time he performed. "Since Savion has raised tap dance to a higher standard, we feel he qualifies to carry on the legacy of the Great Bojangles." The shoes being presented to Savion were formerly presented to the Copasetics by Bill Robinson's widow, Mrs. Elaine Dash Robinson. The Copasetics name their club in honor of Bill Robinson on December 30, 1949.
