<mods:abstract>ca. 1952 when this program was syndicated; Abbott and Costello appeared on the Colgate Comedy Hour 1951-1954. On this slapstick comedy show, Nicholas Brothers sing a medley of tunes from Glenn Miller, "Kalamazoo" from Orchestra Wives and "Chattanooga Choo Choo" and perform two tap dances to almost unidentifiable arrangements of "Jumpin' Jive" from Stormy Weather and "Argentina" from Down Argentine Way; before a studio orchestra on stage and seemingly working very hard and concentrated to keep up with the brothers: the sound is awful. The next week on the Colgate Comedy Hour, Ray Bolger was to make his debut.</mods:abstract>
