- Abstract
- In this show that also featured Kay Thompson and Gogi Grant, Sammy Davis, Jr. sings "That Old Black Magic." The Will Mastin Trio sings "Gee, It's Good to Be Home"; and Will Mastin and Davis Sr. tap dance to "Liza." Davis Sr. taps in a style that resembles Bill Robinson's footwork with a vertical alignment and clean footwork and finishes with circling over-the tops; Uncle Will Mastin performs steps in forward diagonal in trench position: but no tapping from Sammy! The pair end with Uncle Will doing kazotsky kicks and Davis Sr. legomania and around the worlds. They are most facile tap dancers.
Next, Davis offers impressions of Nat "King" Cole, Billy Eckstine, Tony Bennett, Frankie Laine, Frank Sinatra and the show's announcer, Vaughan Monroe, singing "Hey There." With his father and uncle, Davis performs "I Love a Happy Ending Every Time." - Source
