- George Murphy, a dancer and actor, went on to play his most believable role as a U.S. senator from California. He first appeared on Broadway as a chorus boy and was eventually signed by Samuel Goldwyn for the film Kid Millions.
In After the Dance, Murphy plays Jerry Blair in this black and white Columbia Pictures film; and dances in a musical numbers choreographed by Albertina Rasch.
