An exhilarating Los Angeles season opens on October 26 with dancers Eddie Brown, Linda Sohl-Donnell, Karol Lee, Pauline Hagino, Monie Adamson, Beverly Scott, and musicians Phil Wright, Steve Fowler, Jardine Wilson, Clayton Cameron, Mark Berres and Don Litteton.

Guest artists: Fayard Nicholas, Arthur Duncan, Frances Nealy, Frenchy Landry, Pat Rico.

    Program includes:
Sohl-Donnell's Raindance, with a percussion score by Al "Tootie" Heath; blends rhythm movement, colorful costuming, and theatrical lighting, an 18-minute-long work for six dancers; and Gregory Hines' premiere of new choreography for the company, which lends blues and funk musical styles and includes a tacit section for the five dancers. Hines' trademark style of tap, along with music composed by Clayton Cameron.
