Roberts, Borders, Mauney, Howell, Briggs, and Related Families Reunion

This project documents the histories of a network of families of Cleveland County and Gaston County, North Carolina. In addition to genealogical records and family stories, the memoirs of Reverend John Wesley Roberts (1862-1951), titled From Slavery to Freedom, are included. Videotape from the 1991 reunion of the families provides documentation of the recent past. The project is dedicated to the memory of Sarah Stowe Williamson, who prepared A Chronicle of the Wellmon, Mauney, Dixon Family, also included.
