Thrust into Space: How the Space Program Changed Brevard County
The county is home to the John F. Kennedy Space
Center of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
From the early tests using captured V-2 rockets to the moon and
beyond, Brevard has grown to international prominence along with
the space program.
The project features "Thrust into Space," a videotape
of flights made from the center done especially for the Library's
Local Legacies project, and a professional one-hour tape of the
same name courtesy of the Economic Development Commission of
Florida's Space Coast.
Originally submitted by: Dave Weldon, Representative (15th District).
