Winterfest Boat Parade, December 1996 |
Winterfest Boat Parade
The
goal of the Winterfest celebration is to attract positive national
attention to the Fort Lauderdale area, while providing the
community with enjoyable and unique events. One of the best known
components of Winterfest is its spectacular Boat Parade, held each
December. More than 100 decorated corporate yachts and private
boats with thousands of holiday lights float along the parade's
ten-mile route from Port Everglades to Lake Santa Barbara in
Pompano Beach. Boaters and spectators watch a brilliant fireworks
display light up the parade's extended path.
