Oswego County Fair
Originally called the Sandy Creek, Richland,
Orwell, and Boylston Agricultural Society, the Agricultural Society
of Oswego County has produced the Oswego County Fair since 1857
without interruption.
Held on the grounds of the Agricultural Society of
Oswego County at Sandy Creek, the fair takes place in July for five
to eight days to promote agriculture, horticulture, mechanical and
household arts, and economic development. Exhibits include race
cars, livestock and dairy animals, horses, plants and flowers, arts
and crafts, antiques, canned foods and homed baked goods.
Grandstand shows feature demolition derbies, harness racing, and
tractor and truck pulls.
Documentation includes two photographs and a fact
sheet.
