Dear Mom and Dad,
I bought the pen that I'm writing with from our sergeant for $9. It's new, it's a Shaefer and I think it's worth it.
I borrowed a harmonica from a buddy. It's just a small one but it gives me something to do while I'm not working.
Nothing new to report. We spent the day getting all the equipment ready for an inspection that we'll have tomorrow.
My mail hasn't caught up yet. Damn, it should be here. My buddy got 22 letters 3 days ago.
That's all I've got to say. I just wanted to let you know I'm still fine.
Love
Eddie
