Dear Mom and Dad,

I spent the whole day at the motor pool working on my jeep. It's being painted now. Last night I saw the movie "Miracle of The Lady of Fatima", it was pretty good. Right now they're having a beer party with free beer and food. I can't go because I'm pulling CW watch.

The mail hasn't caught up yet. My buddy Al Neve from Hammond came over to see me this afternoon. He didn't have much to say.

Last night at 11:30 I had to drive an officer from Division Artillery. I didn't take my gloves and I'm telling you my hands were COLD. My jeep doesn't have a top to it.

The PX finally got something today. I had a chance to get a few candy bars and some crackers. I suppose it will be quite some time before they get anything else.

Keep writing, someday soon I'll get a whole stack of mail.
