Dear Mom and Dad,
It's 7 am March 7. As of today I have been in the army eight months. It seems longer than that.
It's windy, cold and raining. The roof of this truck leaks in about a dozen different places. How is the weather in Calumet City?
If I ever get a chance I'm going down to the creek that I use for washing the jeep and I'm going to take a bath. I have not had a bath since Feb. 18. 18 days ago! You can imagine how I smell.
The Koreans are pretty damn intelligent people. Our house boy can speak Korean, Japanese, French and English. He can read English too.
I'll finish this letter later. Right now it's 2:20 a m. I spent all afternoon in the motor pool working on my jeep. The mail hasn't caught up yet. As of March 8, it's been 2 months since I heard from home. Anything!
Last night I won $10.50 playing pinochle. I won every game without trying hard.
That's all I have for now.
Love
Eddie
