Dear Mom and Dad,
It's about 11 p.m. It's been raining for 2 days now. I just got back from our radio relay. I had to drive up and take a power unit to them. It was quite a drive. It's about 7 miles to the new relay. My windshield wipers don't work and I'm not allowed to use lights so I put the windshield down in order to see the road. One of the hills is so steep I had to use the lowest gear in order to make it through the deep mud. I slid over the road. It took me an hour and a half to get there! That's a trip I don't want to make again.
I got a letter from Loretta dated March 3. That's pretty fast delivery. So far the only mail I got from you is the one of February 24. If there are more I should get them in a few days. I heard a rumor that there are 19 bags of mail in our rear position for the 48 F.A. Bn.
I'm hoping anyway! I caught another cold. This damp weather is too cold for me. This is the 3 rd cold I had since I left home. Keep writing more often.
Love
Eddie
