Dear Mom and Dad,

Well, I did it again, I'm a corporal now. One month a private, one month a private first class and now a corporal. That's the way its been since I hit Korea. I think it will be quite a while before I get promoted again.

Other than that, nothing unusual has happened. It did turn hot out here. This morning about 11 o'clock our line to OP 34 went out. We had to go over one big hill that takes a good hour and a half to get over. I'm still all tired out from that climb. It wouldn't have been so bad but it was around noon.

I had a chance to listen to a ball game day before yesterday, the White Sox and the Yankees. That was the one in which the Sox scored four runs in the last of the ninth to win 8 - 7. I jumped when Farris Fain hit that homer.

I got some more shots yesterday or the day before, one Typhus, one Cholera, and one Tetanus.

I took a shower and got a complete change of clothes yesterday. Sure feels good. That is all for now. I probably write a little more tonight.
