Dear Mom and Dad,
Received your letters of May 17 and May 19.
The letter to Carol French that I sent to Calumet City by mistake should have been sent to Topeka, Kansas. Thanks for returning it. I've remailed it with explanations.
Tell Dad that I'm waiting for those pictures.
I wrote to Helen Falda. I misplaced her letter when I was in the radio section. I pulled out so fast that I left quite a bit behind including the pen I bought when I first came to Korea.
Right now I'm alone. I'm guarding the equipment. I was supposed to go on Reconnaissance but somebody else went instead.
When I get 20 more points in about 2 more months, I'm going to put in for a transfer to Japan. Only 1 out 1000 persons will get it. I doubt if I will, but I'm going to try.
I just heard that the Sox won again from Detroit in the ninth. That makes two in a row over Detroit in the ninth. According to my figures, that should give them a 21-14 record.
Well, I'm going to sign off. Not much to say except that I'm homesick.
Love
Eddie
