Dear Mom and Dad,

I got paid today then played pinochle this afternoon. Tonight's movie is supposed to be "Off Limits" with Bob Hope. I hope I get a chance to see it. There was no mail for a couple of days so I haven't much to write about. It's been raining the whole day. I heard the first game of the Memorial Day double header. The Sox lost that one 7-2. I heard though that they won the second.

It gets tiresome sitting around here all day. We're not allowed to go anywhere. We have to sit here on the alert.

I'm not sending any money home this month. I'm going to save my money for R & R. I may not go for a couple of months but one never really knows.

What happened to my camera? Do I have to buy another one?

Tomorrow is Soldier's Day. Out battery is having a parade tomorrow-that is; a formation. They can't have much of a parade in our motor pool. There just isn't enough room. I'm hoping I can get to go to the battery to see the shindig.

That's all for now.
