Dear Mom and Dad,
210 DAYS
Nothing happened worth writing about. We're having a vehicle inspection June 5, 6, 7. I know I'll get chewed out. They expect me to make that damn thing look like new. I can't do it. It takes too much hard wear on my job. (The jeep) I heard the White Sox game today. They lost to the Yankees 18-2. They sure sounded horrid. Especially Allie Clark.
Our officer doesn't show me much. He thinks we're back in Kansas. He'll expect up to shine our boots.
Our section chief rotated today. We got a new section chief , Sergeant Panis. He's a real "R.A." (regular army). I think I'll ask to go back to the battery.
I'm sleepy now. We'll have a rough time tomorrow. I'll probably be a private day after tomorrow.
Love
Eddie
