Dear Mom and Dad,

I got your letter of June 9. I don't want a small camera. Everybody has them here. It's next to impossible to get film. I'm going to buy myself a good one. You can keep the one I have at home. I had it for 5 years while at home and never used it. I won't need it when I get back. It's not an expensive camera. It only cost Bob $25. He shouldn't worry about it. It doesn't belong to him. It cost me more to get it out of the pawn shop than he paid for it.

It's about 100 degrees here now. No breeze, just mosquitos and bugs. I don't think they'll ever sign that truce.

It's too hot to write now. Anyway there isn't anything to say.
